The Metall Technologie Holding GmbH (MTH) founded in 1999 is located in Menden. The managing directors own a part of MTH‘s share capital. The further shares are owned by the financial investor European Capital S.A.

The MTH GmbH (with its associated companies in Dortmund, Lyon, Menden, Plochingen, Shanghai and Swiebodzin (PL) is engaged in the development, production and sale of industrial furnaces as well as in optimising processes. The furnace spectrum is completed with extensive services like maintenance and repair of our own and also of other models as well as extensions and modifications of existing furnaces to more modern and economic techniques. The managing directors are planning to continue steadily the successful expansion course of the MTH and to complete them by appropriate acquisitions.

A group management was installed in the holding structure with which synergies in the sector of research and development, purchase and sales department are realised. In the field of vacuum furnaces the MTH is the largest supplier world-wide and in the sector protective gas technique it is one of the leaders for nitriding furnaces. This basis and strategies lead to a steady increase of turnover and results. In 2008 a turnover of approx. € 85 Mio. will be generated with about 220 employees. As majority shareholder European Capital financially supports the MTH in opening new international markets and acquiring new companies and enables the MTH to achieve and exceed new growth targets.
