MTH Main dates
Established in 1999 as a spin-off from Bodycote, the world leader in heat treatment services, MTH progressively expanded organically and through acquisitions to become a global leader in the high-end heat treatment furnaces market.
Group key milestones:
- 1864: foundation of Mahler GmbH
- 1945: foundation of Schmetz GmbH
- 1947: foundation of BMI
- 1984: foundation of IVA
- 1995: acquisition of Mahler by Bodycote
- 1996: acquisition of Schmetz by Bodycote
- 1997: acquisition of BMI by Bodycote
- 1999: consolidation of BMI, Mahler and Schmetz within the newly established Metall Technologie Holding Group (“MTH”)
- 1999: MTH is spun off from Bodycote
- 2005: integration of IVA into MTH
- 2007: foundation of Huisen
- 2009: integration of Huisen into MTH
